Who We Are · யார் நாங்கள்
Tamil Eelam Football Association (TEFA) was created by the Global Tamil Youth League in April 2012. We recruit and grow talented players within our community and establish Tamil Eelam's national football teams on the international stage. TEFA is a member of the Confederation of Independent Football Associations (CONIFA) and manages both the Men's and Women's National Football teams of Tamil Eelam, who compete in non-FIFA competitions hosted by CONIFA.

Our History
The Tamil Eelam Football Team is first established in Killinochi, Tamil Eelam — talented players from the North and East competing against local teams across the country.
The team is forced to retire, as restrictions within the country prevent it from playing on an international platform.
Jana S and Ragesh N re-establish the association through the Global Tamil Youth League — TEFA is born.
Weeks after its founding, the team makes its international debut at the 2012 VIVA World Cup in Erbil, Kurdistan — finishing 7th with a 4-0 win over Raetia.
The men travel to Östersund, Sweden, for the first CONIFA World Football Cup — ending the tournament with a memorable 10-0 win over Darfur.
The CONIFA World Football Cup comes to London — Tamil Eelam plays in front of a packed diaspora crowd, beating Tuvalu 4-3.
History is made: the inaugural Women's National Team trials take place in Bern, Switzerland, led by Head Coach Theepan A.
The Men's team are crowned CONIFA Asia Cup champions.
The Women's team finish second at the CONIFA Women's World Cup.
Tamil Eelam hosts the CONIFA Asia Cup in London and defends the title — back-to-back Asian champions.
