Tamil Eelam Women's National Team Victorious Over Hmong FF
Ovia's first-touch finish and Dilakxsika's ice-cold penalty sealed a 2-1 win over Hmong FF in the first of two friendlies.
Tamil Eelam's women continued their momentum with a hard-earned 2-1 victory over Hmong FF in London, in the first of two international friendlies.
Ovia (#17) opened the scoring with a composed first-touch finish, rewarding a bright start from the hosts. Dilakxsika (#9) doubled the advantage from the penalty spot — ice-cold from twelve yards — before Hmong FF pulled one back to set up a tense finish. The defence stood firm to see out the win.
Building on a World Cup run
This squad reached the CONIFA Women's World Cup final in Bodø in 2024 — on debut — and these friendlies are part of the road back to the world stage. With the core of that finalists' squad intact and new faces pushing for places, the programme keeps moving forward.
