CONIFA Women's World Cup Returns to the UK in 2027
CONIFA has announced the third Women's World Football Cup will be held in Walsall, West Midlands, from 28 May to 5 June 2027 — and our 2024 finalists intend to be ready.

CONIFA has confirmed that the third CONIFA Women's World Football Cup will take place in the United Kingdom — Walsall, in the West Midlands, from 28 May to 5 June 2027.
Eight teams will contest the tournament, with matches played at a 5,000-capacity stadium, and the event hosted by Khalistan FA. It brings the women's World Cup back to the UK after the men's World Football Cup was staged in London in 2018 — a tournament in which Tamil Eelam played in front of tens of thousands of their own supporters.
Why it matters to us
Our women's team announced themselves to the world at the 2024 edition in Bodø, Norway — reaching the final on their very first World Cup appearance, just two years after the programme's first match in Bern.
A World Cup on British soil is a rare opportunity: the heart of our diaspora, a short journey for our supporters, and a stage our players know well. Preparations begin now — follow the newsroom and @tamileelam.fa for squad news, trials and friendlies on the road to Walsall 2027.
