Womens World Cup Norway 2024 –

We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the inaugural Global Tamil Eelam Women’s Trials & Selections, held across various countries including England, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Canada, Norway, and Germany. This monumental event marks a significant milestone in the journey of the Tamil Eelam National Women’s Football Team, as we gear up to participate in our first international competition at the CONIFA Women’s World Cup in Bodo, Norway from June 3rd, 2024 to June 9th, 2024.

The enthusiasm and passion displayed by the young Tamil female athletes throughout the trials and selection process were truly inspiring. Witnessing such a remarkable turnout reaffirms our belief in the talent and dedication within our Tamil community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, parents, nation representatives, and supporters who contributed to the success of this endeavour.

As we prepare for the upcoming World Cup, our team is eager and determined to make history on a global stage. The training camp scheduled in Oslo, Norway, from May 27th to June 2nd, 2024, will serve as a pivotal moment for our squad to fine-tune our skills, strengthen our bonds, and solidify our strategy.

When asked about her experience organising this extensive trials and selection process, Team Manager Shankari expressed her heartfelt joy and appreciation for the overwhelming response from young Tamil female athletes. She emphasised the incredible dedication and enthusiasm displayed by the players and conveyed her confidence in the team’s ability to excel in Norway.

As we embark on this exciting journey, we invite the Tamil Eelam community and the global sports fraternity to rally behind our team as we strive to represent our nation with pride and honour at the CONIFA Women’s World Cup. Together, we will create unforgettable moments and inspire future generations of Tamil athletes worldwide.

வருகின்ற யூன் மாதம் 3 ஆம் திகதி முதல் 9 ஆம் திகதி வரை நோர்வே போடோ மாநகரத்தில் நடைபெறும் CONIFA மகளிர் உலகக் கோப்பையில் கலந்துகொள்வதற்காக பிரித்தானியா, பிரான்ஸ், நெதர்லாந்து, சுவிஸ், கனடா, நோர்வே மற்றும் ஜெர்மனி உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு நாடுகளில் வாழும் தமிழீழப் பெண்கள் பல்வேறு பயிற்சி தெரிவுகள் மூலம்   தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டனர். தமிழீழ மகளிர் உதைபந்தாட்ட அணி தனது முதல் அடியை இந்த சர்வதேசப் போட்டியில் எடுத்து வைப்பதில்
மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகின்றது.

இந்த தெரிவில் கலந்துகொண்ட இளம் வீராங்கனைகள் வெளிப்படுத்திய உற்சாகமும் ஆர்வமும் உண்மையிலேயே ஊக்கமளிப்பதாக இருந்தது. இது நமது தமிழ் சமூகத்தில் உள்ள திறமை மற்றும் அர்ப்பணிப்பு மீதான எமது நம்பிக்கையை மீண்டும் உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறது. இம்முயற்சியின் வெற்றிக்கு உறுதுணையாக இருந்த பங்கேற்பாளர்கள், பெற்றோர்கள், நாட்டுப்பொறுப்பாளர்கள்,விளையாட்டுத்துறைபிரதிநிதிகள் மற்றும் ஆதரவாளர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் எங்களது மனமார்ந்த நன்றியைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம்.

நடைபெற இருக்கும போட்டிக்கு தயாராகிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் எங்கள் அணி, உலக அரங்கில் சரித்திரம் படைக்க ஆர்வமாகவும் உறுதியாகவும் உள்ளது. இதற்காக மே 27 முதல் யூன் 2, வரை நோர்வேயின் ஒஸ்லோ நகரில் பயிற்சி முகாம் திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது எங்கள் அணியின் திறமைகளை மேம்படுத்தவும், அணி உறுப்பினர்களின்   பிணைப்புகளை வலுப்படுத்தவும், எங்கள் திட்டமிடலை உறுதிப்படுத்தவும் உதவும்.

இந்த தெரிவை ஏற்பாடு செய்த அனுபவம் பற்றி மகளிர் அணி முகாமையாளர் சங்கரியிடம் கேட்டபோது,  இளம் தமிழ் பெண் விளையாட்டு வீராங்கனைகளின் உற்சாகமான ஆதரவிற்கு தனது மனமார்ந்த மகிழ்ச்சியையும் பாராட்டையும் தெரிவித்தார். அத்துடன் வீராங்கனைகளால் வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்ட நம்பமுடியாத அர்ப்பணிப்பும் உற்சாகமும் நோர்வேயில் எமது அணி வரலாறு படைக்கும் என்ற தனது நம்பிக்கையை வலுப்படுத்துவதாக கூறினார்.

CONIFA மகளிர் உலகக் கோப்பையில் பெருமையுடனும், கௌரவத்துடனும் எமது தேசத்தைப் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்த முயலும் எங்கள் அணியின் பின்னால் தமிழீழ சமூகம் மற்றும் உலகளாவிய விளையாட்டு ஆர்வலர்கள் அனைவரையும  அணிதிரளுமாறு  அன்புரிமையுடன் அழைக்கிறோம். இந்த உற்சாகமான பயணத்தில் நாம் அனைவரும் இணைந்து மறக்க முடியாத தருணங்களை உருவாக்கி, உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள எதிர்கால தமிழ் விளையாட்டு வீரர்களுக்கு ஊக்கமளிப்போம்.
